Dr. Brett Kettelhut, MD, brings nearly four decades of clinical experience in immunology, allergy, and patient-centered medical care. As the supervising physician at Elkhorn Dermatology, he provides physician oversight while specializing in allergic and inflammatory skin diseases, including skin patch testing for contact allergies.

Dr. Kettelhut specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of eczema, allergic contact dermatitis, chronic rashes, and other immune-mediated skin conditions. Through comprehensive skin patch testing, he helps identify contact allergens responsible for persistent dermatitis and unexplained skin reactions, allowing patients to receive personalized treatment plans based on the underlying cause of their condition. He also has a special interest in the relationship between the immune system, adverse food reactions, the skin microbiome, and overall skin health, bringing a comprehensive perspective to patients with complex dermatologic concerns.

Margaret Matveyev, APRN, FNP-C

Margaret Matveyev, APRN, FNP-C, is a dermatology-trained nurse practitioner providing physician-supervised dermatology care focused on prevention, early detection, and personalized treatment. She believes every patient deserves the time to be heard, thoroughly evaluated, and actively involved in their treatment plan.

Margaret specializes in comprehensive skin cancer screenings, suspicious mole evaluations, FotoFinder Total Body Mole Mapping, digital dermoscopy, skin biopsies, cryotherapy, and the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of medical skin conditions, including acne, eczema, rosacea, hair loss, rashes, and other dermatologic concerns.

Combining advanced diagnostic technology with evidence-based medicine, Margaret focuses on identifying skin conditions early while developing personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s individual goals and needs. Her thoughtful approach emphasizes education, prevention, and building lasting relationships with her patients.

Founder & Clinical Skincare Specialist Valeriya Kettelhut, PhD, MPH

Founded on the belief that early detection, prevention, and personalized care lead to better long-term skin health, Valeriya Kettelhut, PhD, MPH established Elkhorn Dermatology to offer advanced dermatology services in the Omaha area.

Following the success of Valeriya Life Medical Spa, Valeriya recognized the need for greater access to comprehensive medical dermatology and advanced skin cancer screening. That vision led to the creation of Elkhorn Dermatology, where physician-supervised care and advanced diagnostic technology work together to support lifelong skin health.

Leveraging her background in biomedical informatics research and public health, Valeriya introduced advanced diagnostic technologies to the practice. Tools like FotoFinder mole mapping and VISIA Skin Analysis support our providers with comprehensive skin evaluations, preventive care, and informed treatment planning.

In her role as Elkhorn Dermatology’s Clinical Skincare Specialist and the founder of Valeriya Life Skincare, Valeriya assists walk-in visitors and clinic patients by helping them understand the skincare recommendations provided by the clinic’s licensed healthcare professionals and select appropriate over-the-counter skincare products.

Her goal is to support our providers and help ensure every patient receives compassionate, high-quality care in a welcoming environment.

Vlad Matveyev, BA

Vlad Matveyev, BA, serves as Clinic Manager at Elkhorn Dermatology, overseeing day-to-day operations, patient experience, technology, and strategic practice growth to help ensure every patient receives a seamless, organized, and welcoming experience. From the first phone call to check-in and checkout, Vlad works closely with patients to coordinate appointments, answer questions, assist with registration, and help guide them through every step of their visit.

Beyond patient care coordination, Vlad oversees many aspects of the clinic’s daily operations, helping maintain an efficient, professional, and well-organized environment for both patients and staff. His responsibilities include overseeing office operations, maintaining inventory, coordinating clinic logistics, and supporting the continued growth and development of Elkhorn Dermatology.

Vlad also leads the clinic’s digital presence, overseeing the website, local SEO, social media, patient education, and marketing initiatives that help connect more patients throughout Omaha and the surrounding communities with advanced dermatologic care. Working alongside the clinical team, he is committed to ensuring that every aspect of the patient experience reflects the same professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail patients receive during their appointments.
